How do we make tomorrow more sustainable, equitable, fair, and just?
Join us on 5 February to discuss the challenges and be part of the solution!
As Leiden University’s 444th birthday year comes to a close, the Young Academy Leiden is organizing a public forum to discuss societal issues that are likely to be a major focus of academic activity in the coming years.
The themes of Sustainability, Big Data, and Equality, fairness, and justice will be discussed by Andrew Littlejohn (Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences), Karin van der Tuin (LUMC), and Joris Larik (Governance and Global Affairs and Leiden University College, The Hague), under the moderation of Judi Mesman (Dean Leiden University College The Hague).
After a short introduction by our guests, we would like to have a roundtable discussion between our guests and the audience, centered upon the question “what research questions and topics do you think will drive sustainability, big data, and equality, fairness, and justice in the future?”
