Conference | Education Lunch Break at Faculty of Science

Destressing students

Thursday 19 November 2020
Virtual Lunch Room

Eat lunch and get inspired by best practices from colleagues!

This week's topic: Some students struggle more than is necessary. They panic because they can’t manage their stress during busy periods, others lack an efficient reading strategy and spend too many hours on a course. The faculty skills team developed an e-learning skills platform that can help these students. In this lunch session team member and educational developer Lisann Brincker will explain what the platform entails and will give practical tips and tricks how you as a teacher or study programme staff member can help these students stress less.

This Lunch Break will be hosted by Christian Tudorache.

Join us every Thursday between 13.15 and 13.45!

Grab your lunch, find a relaxed spot to sit and join us in our Virtual Lunch Room, every Thursday at 13:15. You can log onto Kaltura by simply filling in your name and e-mail address.

About the Weekly Science Education Coffee Breaks

Sharing best practices
Creating online courses is still a huge challenge that takes a lot of effort. But, it also triggers a lot of inventiveness and creativity. Good to take a break and get inspired by colleagues from different courses, programmes and departments in the Faculty of Science.

Every week a different topic and guest speaker
Every Lunch Break, we will have a different 'Lunch guest' who will share their best practice with online education. Afterwards, we will have a Q&A and/or a discussion. The presentations by our Lunch guests will be recorded and made available. View the recordings archive for topics you might have missed.
