Education Lunch Break at Faculty of Science
Improving your students’ academic skills
- Thursday 10 December 2020
- Virtual Lunch Room
Eat lunch and get inspired by best practices from colleagues!
This week's topic: In their practical course Annelien Zweemer and Linda Holtman use the new FWN e-learning skills platform developed by the faculty skills team. With the platform’s academic skill modules students can improve skills like doing literature research, writing reports and presenting. In this lunch break Zweemer and Holtman will show how they implemented these modules throughout their course to help students deliver better results and become better researchers. The e-learning skills platform is available to all lecturers within the Faculty of Science to use in their courses.
This Lunch Break will be hosted by Julia Cramer.

About the Weekly Science Education Coffee Breaks
Sharing best practices
Creating online courses is still a huge challenge that takes a lot of effort. But, it also triggers a lot of inventiveness and creativity. Good to take a break and get inspired by colleagues from different courses, programmes and departments in the Faculty of Science.
Every week a different topic and guest speaker
Every Lunch Break, we will have a different 'Lunch guest' who will share their best practice with online education. Afterwards, we will have a Q&A and/or a discussion. The presentations by our Lunch guests will be recorded and made available. View the recordings archive for topics you might have missed.
