"Tempting to write what should/could not be written"

Antjie Krog (1952) lives and works in South Africa, where she wrote about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in the non-fiction book Country of My Skull. But the history and polyphony of her country also play a major role in her many collections of poetry. Her award-winning work is astonishing: political and personal at the same time, lyrical, witty and also serious. Without simply appropriating anything, she explores how to articulate Africa in her poems and impressive performances.

Antjie Krog's lecture is entitled 'Tempting to write what should/could not be written'. This lecture is in English.
