Network event aimed at junior and senior scholars of Leiden University, affiliated institutes such as KITLV, IIAS and the Leiden museums, who are engaged in Anthropological research on and in Asia, organised by the Asia Research cluster of the Department of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology (CADS).

Scholars engaged in Anthropological research share a lot of common ground, for example in terms of method, but tend to work across many distinct faculties and departments. How can we create and expand spaces of collaboration, linked to Anthropologies of Asia? What can be the added value of such a network, also in claiming space within our institution(s)?

Attendees are invited to give a short (3 mins) pitch, in which they briefly explain what their research is about, how it matters, and how a network on the Anthropology of and in Asia at Leiden can be of relevance for them. They may bring an object that is relevant to their research, to be used as a point of reference in their talk. The pitches will be followed by a plenary.
