The second edition of the online Dies Natalis for alumni – organised by the Leiden University Fund (LUF) – offers its guests six lectures by Leiden professors who look forward to sharing their knowledge and answering your questions. For our international alumni, there will be an English lecture to attend in each of the two lecture rounds.

Futures From the Frontiers of Climate Science

We live in a unique time of human history. The choices made in the next two decades will dictate the future of life on the planet for centuries and millennia. Following a similar format of his popular science book, Paul Behrens (academic and author in environmental change) will present the latest science on climate change and climate impact, along with some of the solutions necessary to make a hopeful, healthier future a reality.

Interested in the other English lecture by professor Remco Breuker about South Korean stereotypes? Go to the LUF-website to find our more and sign up.
Do you speak Dutch as well? You're welcome to join any of the four other lectures (in Dutch). You can decide during the Dies Natalis online event itself. You can also change 'lecture hall' during the lecture if you want to listen to a another speaker. Please note that the times mentioned are the local Dutch times (CET).

Around the world

And why not join our network carousel? Here you will be randomly paired with other participants for short informal chats. If you understand Dutch as well, you're of course welcome to join any of the other lectures.
