Minister of Digitalisation Alexandra van Huffelen will give a guest lecture on the Dutch government’s ambitions in the field of digitalisation. The morning will be concluded by a Q&A session with room for questions from the audience at the end of the guest lecture. Prof. Bram Klieving, Professor Digitalisation and Public Policy, will be the moderator.
The guest lecture will take place on Monday 12 September from 11.15 – 12.15 hours. Doors open at 11:00. The guest lecture is an initiative from Leiden University’s Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs (FGGA), Stichting Digitaal Burgerschap Nederland (DBN), and Dutch Digital Agencies (DDA).
Prior to the guest lecture, DBN chairman Mark Landman will present Van Huffelen with the ‘Sociale Digitale Standaard’.
Digital communication is closely intertwined with the lives, work and wellbeing of all people. Over the last few years, DBN has worked hard on creating a set of recommendations that will contribute to improving the digital provision of services and communications between citizens and governmental and semi-governmental institutions: the ‘Sociale Digitale Standaard’ (SDS). The SDS provides recommendations for governments and the digital sector based on six relevant core concepts. The SDS intends to launch a digital platform as a source of inspiration.
