About the Nationaal Groeifonds
The NGF (National Growth Fund) is a 20 billion€ fund, from which the government will between 2021 and 2025 invest in projects that contribute to a structural and sustainable growth of the Dutch economy. Projects that require a minimum contribution of 30 M€ can be submitted by large public-private consortia focusing on pre-defined themes. The areas they will invest in are Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) and Knowledge Development, by which they mean Education. The themes can be found here. There is opportunity for groundbreaking basic research, as long as application is foreseeable in the upcoming 15 years.
