Even though biological sex is the most frequently studied group difference in brain and behavioral research, it is still not well understood if, how and when sex differences impact neurodiversity and mental health. A cross-disciplinary and multimethod approach is pivotal to avoid an oversimplified interpretation of the impact of sex and gender on mental health, to improve diagnosis and treatment of those living with psychiatric conditions.
Workshop Program
In this 5-day workshop we aim to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice on sex and gender effects in relation to mental health, and explore innovative methods that move beyond the binary approach to study sex differences in the brain. We will develop a road map for future research, which will disseminated through an opinion article and a podcast. Download the entire program.
