Week of the International Student

Monday 14 November 2022 - Friday 18 November 2022
Kamerlingh Onnes Gebouw

From 14 to 18 November we are organising the Week of the International Student (WotIS). Throughout the week, Leiden Law School will be organising a variety of events with the purpose of bringing Dutch and international students closer together.

Acts of Kindness pillar

On 14 November at 12.00 hours we will reveal the Acts of Kindness pillar in the restaurant. Dutch and international students (and staff) can use the Acts of Kindness pillar to ask for - and offer - help by means of note cards. You can write your request or offer of assistence one of the cards as an act of kindness. These acts do not have to be life-changing. Small acts are encouraged! For example: requests or offers to lend a book, drink a cup of coffee or go for a walk together.

World Map

Do you know where your fellow students come from? For the entirety of WotIS, there will be a world map hanging on the top of the stairs near the entrance of the KOG. All students are encouraged to place a flag into their home country.

Study Abroad Information Ssession

On 17 November from 17.00 - 19.00 hours a Study Abroad information session and posterpresentations by international students with drinks afterwards will be held at the Sterrenwacht. Come visit if you want more information about studying abroad. Or if you wish to get to know more international students currently studying in Leiden. Share your experiences whilst enjoying a drink!

WotIS Walks

WotIS Walks will be organised during the week throughout the Netherlands. Allowing students to meet each other, share experiences, and go for a drink together.

On 16 november from 12:00-12:30 hours there will be a WotIS Walk in The Hague.

On 18 november from 14:00 - 15:30 hours there will be a WotIS Walk in Leiden.
