The aim of the project “Connecting to the Network of Cultural Heritage” was to develop new teaching materials that will enable students and researchers to make use of the large quantities of open data collections made available by cultural heritage institutions. These new tools and the teaching materials will help researchers to process and organise these materials, in such a way that they can be analysed more consistently. These teaching materials have already been used in courses in the MA Book and Digital Media Studies and the MA Arts and Culture, but they can be relevant to anyone with an interest in digital humanities and digitised cultural heritage.

'Libraries, museums and archival institutions increasingly make their collections available digitally, and this makes it possible for students and researchers to engage with these materials in new and exciting ways.' (Peter Verhaar)
