Mapping Slavery Leiden is a public history collective that lays bare the traces of slavery and colonialism in Leiden by providing city tours. By teaching fellow Leidenaars about the history of the city, Mapping Slavery Leiden hopes to foster awareness and conversation for this complicated and painful part of history. Every three weeks, Mapping Slavery Leiden provides free city tours along ten historic locations in the city center of Leiden.

In collaboration with the D&I Expertise Office, Mapping Slavery Leiden will host this tour for Leiden University students and staff.

This tour is part of the European Week Against Racism 2023 activities.
