Thinking about applying for a Comenius grant? During this training session, current and former project leaders who have been awarded a grant will be explaining how they prepared their application and project.

Topics covered include:

  • The possibilities and formal requirements of a grant application.
  • Choosing the right topic and formulating a good research question.
  • Setting up the project structure.
  • Preparing a budget.

13:00 hrs Welcome by Sanne Arens, Educational Innovation project manager (Educational Advice and Quality Assurance policy)
13:05 hrs Explanation of formal procedures, tips and more
by Kathelijne Smits and Anna Terra (Strategy and Academic Affairs)
13:30 hrs Finding the right topic and formulating a good research question
By Tsolin Nalbantian (Comenius Teaching Fellowship for the project Bridging the Gap Between Classroom and Society: Using Wikipedia to Make Students Public Actors).
13:55 hrs Break
14:05 hrs Structuring your project and assembling a team
By Paz Gonzalez (Comenius Senior Fellowship for the project A way to collaborative learning in Humanities: A student journal).
14:30 hrs Preparing a good budget
By Hossam Ahmed, Comenius Teaching Fellowship for the project Including heritage learners in Arabic language courses and Senior Fellowship for the project Digital Humanities for Digital Natives.

In between there will be plenty of time to ask questions.

The session will be in Dutch and/or English, depending on the needs of the participants.
