Surveys for reuse: Practical use cases from SAVED by EuroQol
In this Connect& Reuse session we have an external guest, Gouke Bonsel. He is a public health scientist and emeritus professor at ErasusMC, a discipline in which data reuse is incredibly valuable, but also restricted by privacy legislation and other practicalities.
In this session, reuse will be defined, considering single source and multi-source data. When is reuse a good solution, for which kind of research questions, and under which conditions, versus collecting new data? With examples of research where reuse was at heart, including:
- EuroQol cohort data
- ABCD cohort data/study
- Perined data
- CORona Follow Up (CORFU) study, CAPACITY-COVID cohort data
The main session will last one hour with extra time allocated for asking questions and continuing the discussion with those who wish to stay a bit longer. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are not a member of the Research Data Management Community and would like to attend.
About Connect & events
This event is part of the “Connect and …” series of meetings arranged by, and for, the Leiden University Research Data Management Community. The meetings take around the middle of the month, every month, at different days and times, so as to maximize access according to people’s different working hours. Topics and speakers are proposed by members of the Community.
You can post a suggestion in the Community's MSTeams space, or write to email@example.com, if you have a topic you'd like to discuss in a future meeting and the CDS team will help to make it happen.
If you’re interested in joining us, please fill out the registration form.
