All Large Language Models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT and Google Bard, confront teachers and students with a new use of artificial intelligence. What exactly is an LLM, and are students actually permitted to use them when writing an essay?

The Faculty of Humanities has developed an e-learning module for all students, with an explanation of how an LLM works and the use and misuse of LLMs. The teachers who developed the module will tell you more about its design. Another central issue is the relationship between academic integrity and the use of LLMs. Plenty of good reasons, then, for all teaching staff and programme directors of the Faculty of Humanities to participate in this lunchbyte.

Please note that lunch will be provided for all participants who attend in person.
