As Leiden University finalized the policy on Learning Analytics, instructors and programs may have access to the Learning Outcomes functionality in Brightspace. This functionality offers instructors to explicitly describe the Learning Outcomes that each module or course addresses, and how they contribute to the achievement of overall learning goals.
As part of his Senior Comenius Fellowship project, Hossam Ahmed used the Learning Outcomes function in teaching and assessment to chart highly personalized learning paths to his students in a Digital Humanities course.
Hossam will share in this Lunchbyte his reasons to use the LO functionality, how he set up the course, benefits for students and teachers, and tips and tricks for colleagues who are considering using LOs in their courses.
