Executive Master Cyber Security for professionals
The webinar introduces the executive master cybersecurity that Leiden University offers in collaboration with TU Delft and The Hague University of Applied Sciences. This MSc programme covers both technical and non-technical cybersecurity topics in a part-time fashion over the course of two years. The webinar covers both content related and administrative aspects and there is of course room for any questions about the programme that you might have.

The programme covers the technical and governance aspects of cybersecurity. In the first set of courses in the programme we discuss the basics of cyberspace, cybersecurity and cyber risk after which more specialised topics are covered. Later in the programme, students decide whether they want to learn more about the technical aspects of cybersecurity (the so-called ‘technical track’) or the governance issues (‘governance track’). Additionally, students follow 2 out of 4 elective courses and write a thesis on a cybersecurity topic of their choice.
Designed for professionals
The programme is designed for professionals who would like to learn more about cybersecurity and who have at least two years work experience. Every year, we welcome a diverse group of students in the programme from governmental departments, NGO’s and commercial organisations, as well as from a range of academic backgrounds, such as computer science, sociology, business administration, law and economics.
Benefits for professionals
The benefits for professionals are threefold. First, professionals receive a Master of Science in Cybersecurity degree from Leiden University. Second, professionals are exposed to a wide range of views on cybersecurity from expert academics from a large set of different disciplines, as well as from practitioners who offer their insights and expertise during guest lectures in the various courses in the programme. Third, professionals build a strong network of peers who they can rely on in the professional careers.
