Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the ways in which we work, recruit, and live. However, are these systems being developed in a way that is fair for everyone? While significant attention has been paid to mitigating gender and racial bias in AI, age bias — or ageism — remains a blind spot, despite the fact that we all age and could be affected by ageism at some point in our lives.
Whether your expertise lies in algorithm design, human resources, AI ethics, policy development, or advocacy, your contribution is essential. Together, let’s hack the age bias, make AI better, and contribute to a fairer AI landscape.
For whom
This hackathon invites students, researchers, practitioners, and advocates from a broad range of disciplines — including computer science, psychology, human resource management, sociology, data science, and public policy — to jointly collaborate on innovative tools and ideas that can detect and reduce age bias in AI-based recruitment systems.
Participants will have the opportunity to
- Collaborate in diverse, interdisciplinary teams
- Design innovative tools for fairer, more inclusive hiring processes
- Raise awareness and promote ethical AI in the workplace
- Compete for monetary awards:
