A Special Evening
Especially for Echoes of the Nile, the National Museum of Antiquities will be transformed into a festival venue. Hear, see, and feel the echoes of thousands of years of culture around the Nile: ancient Egypt and Nubia. With music, a workshop, guided tours, and talks, you'll feel how the allure of ancient Egypt and Nubia resonates in the here and now.
Next to the Egyptian temple, enjoy the music of Sudanese-Dutch musician Razeen. Dance along to the DJ set by Selecta InnaVisions, or delve deeper during the guided tour "Queer in Antiquity" and the late-night talk by Sarah Schrader and Daniel Soliman: "Sudan’s Endangered Heritage: Preserving the Past in Conflict."
The evening will focus on the humanitarian crisis currently unfolding in Sudan. Visitors can donate to UNHCR, the international organization dedicated to helping refugees, at the museum.
