In February 2026, the new University Sports Centre will open at the Leiden Bio Science Park: a place where you, as an employee, can work on your vitality and relaxation. With its multifunctional and sustainable design, the brand-new building contributes to a healthy mind in a healthy body.
Multifunctional, sustainable, and healthy
The new sports centre has been designed with a focus on health and sustainability. The extensive window framework not only creates an open atmosphere with lots of light but also encourages exercise. After all, exercise is contagious. The use of healthy materials without harmful emissions, excellent insulation, solar panels, and connection to a thermal energy storage system make the building both sustainable and future-oriented.
There is also plenty of space for fitness, group classes, team sports, and even exams. This makes the building a multifunctional and inspiring place where students and staff can work together on vitality and relaxation.
