We want to be a knowledge community where both students and staff feel welcome, and where different perspectives have space to be heard. But how do you actually make that happen? And what should be discussed to get there? To find answers together, HR, the POPcorner and education policy started a collaboration: The Listening Circle. With this initiative we create moments to openly discuss important topics around Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing, and to explore what’s needed to move forward.

In the context of International Women’s Day, an exhibition opened at the Van Steenis building since the 2nd of March. The exhibition is called Archaeo-Sexism, and invites reflection on gender inequality and social safety within the discipline of archaeology and the wider academic community. The exhibition is open to the public, so we recommend our employees to take a visit.
