The EU defines itself as a normative power, committed to human rights and a rules-based international order. But the order is crumbling. Conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, and Iran, have exposed fractures not only in the international system, but also within the EU itself, raising hard questions about how consistently and how courageously the EU will stick to its principles when stakes are high.

Join us for a discussion with the EU Special Representative for Human Rights Kajsa Ollongren about the tools the EU has to build trust with its external partners and find ways to act on its values amidst growing geopolitical tensions.
