Meet your colleagues and learn how research support is organized at the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences!
The purpose of the LRSN live events is to get to know each other and to learn from another. For the next edition ethics secretaries at the faculty will facilitate an informative workshop on the topic: Ethics decision-making in Social Sciences research: Building blocks that matter.

14:15 – 15:00 LRSN Onboarding
• (optional) Introduction to the LRS network for new staff members, by Eugenia van Engelenhoven
15:00 – 16:30 Live @ FSW Workshop: Ethics decision-making in Social Sciences research: Building blocks that matter
• Welcome by Hester Bergsma, Head of Research Policy & Support Team
• Interactive presentation on the various moral theories that underpin ethics decision-making (i.e. the core principles of each theory, together with their strengths and weaknesses in a research context)
• Small group discussion on the application and challenges of ethics decision-making models in the review of research proposals.
16:30 – 17:00 Borrel
• Networking drinks to close the event.
