Prehistoric migration is increasingly acknowledged as a driver of cultural change. In the present, migration issues are at the heart of social and political debate. Think about migration policy and policies regarding asylum seekers, refugees, and migrant workers. However, migration also plays a role in numerous other social issues, such as debates on economic growth, demographic change, social welfare, inequality, security, the labor market, healthcare, climate, and divisions among different groups in society. These complex issues require knowledge of researchers from different departments and faculties, which the interfaculty theme Migration brings together.
We are starting off with an inspiring afternoon that brings together researchers from various faculties and departments who want to contribute or are already contributing to migration-related issues. Exchange ideas, discover current initiatives, and explore new opportunities for collaboration in the field of migration research.
