If you cycle to work, a minimum of half of your annual working days, you may use the terms and conditions individual choices model to offset the costs of your bicycle, insurance and maintenance.
Offsetting purchase, insurance and maintenance of bicycle

You can offset the costs of purchasing a bicycle, insurance and maintenance against your gross salary, end-of-year bonus or holiday allowance. If you wish to offset these costs against your holiday leave, you should submit your application by 30 April. If you wish to use your gross salary or end-of-year bonus, you should submit your application by 30 November.

What will I receive?
The deductible amount for a bicycle is € 1500. If your bicycle is more expensive, the difference cannot be offset. If you purchase a bicycle, the regulation also allows you to offset a three-year theft and all-risk insurance policy. In addition, each year you may offset a fixed amount of maximum € 82 for bicycle maintenance, repairs and accessories. This amount will be offset against your gross income.
- You have to cycle to work, or to and from a bus or train station or carpool location, a minimum of half of your annual working days.
- You are allowed to use the Individual Choices Model to buy a new bicycle every three calendar years.
