Construction of Humanities Campus hampered
If the dispute between Leiden University and De Sleutels housing corporation cannot be resolved, the construction of a new Humanities Campus will be very difficult. ‘At least, I have no idea how we can achieve it,’ was the comment made by Rector Carel Stolker on 28 March to a journalist from Sleutelstad FM.
The Rector was attending a meeting on Tuesday evening on “Leiden – international knowledge city” in Leiden’s City Hall. Last February, following discussions with the Humanities Campus Sounding Board, Leiden University notified the municipality of its assessment of the different variants for the new campus, based on the Campus Model.
