Parking spaces Huygens / Oort building temporarily unavailable
In 2020, the SRON space research institute will relocate to the Niels Bohrweg in Leiden, on the parking lot in front of the Huygens and Oort building. Due to preliminary work, the parking spaces will be unavailable from 3 until 11 May.
The construction of the new SRON building will start in mid-July 2019. This means that preliminary work will take place in the coming period, such as a ground survey to map the many old cables and pipelines. As a result, the parking area will be unavailable from 3 until 11 May. This will also be indicated at the parking spaces themselves.
Other parking spaces available
Employees with a workplace in the Snellius building can park their cars next to the faculty administrative building. Employees working at the Gorlaeus Building, the LMUY and the administrative building can make use of the carpark under the Gorlaeus Building.
Extra parking facilities
In due course, the entire parking area in front of the Huygens and Oort building will be removed of because SRON will use it in its entirety for its building and parking needs. In the run-up to the construction work, it will be assessed whether additional parking facilities for the faculty will be required.
