Blackboard becomes Brightspace
The academic year 2019-2020 will be the final year in which most of you will be using Blackboard. Starting this September, the students of the Humanities Lab (Honours students) will be the very first users of Brightspace in our faculty, while the Academic Language Centre will follow in February.
Starting next academic year (September 2020) Leiden University will be using Brightspace. You will be informed in time on migrating your Blackboard courses, and on the training sessions that will be offered to you. Existing tools, as Turnitin, Kaltura, and Pitch2Peer will be available in Brightspace as well. However, this does not apply to SafeAssign. It is therefore wise to begin using Turnitin already this year. More information on Brightspace is on the projectwebsite.
