Anette wins the Healthy University Week fruit basket: 'Time for a smoothie!'
Did you all enjoy all the Healthy University Week 2020 activities? Anette van Sandwijk can enjoy them a bit longer. She’s the lucky winner of the Leiden Law Healthy University fruit basket.
As part of the Healthy University Week 2020, staff at Leiden Law School were asked to send in a photo or video of their healthy activity. Participants could win a delicious healthy basket of fruit.
Many of you sent us a photo or video of all kinds of healthy activities which we enjoyed receiving. Anette van Sandwijk, Head of the Office for International Education, sent us a photo of her desk at home, which is carefully watched over by her cat. 'How do I stay fit and healthy in these times? I’ve got my own personal fluffy relaxation coach!', she wrote.
All the names of staff who had participated were put in a hat, and Anette’s name was drawn as the lucky winner of the fruit. 'It’s really amazing to have won the Leiden Law Healthy University Week fruit basket!’, she said.
She joined in with a number of activities during the Healthy University Week. 'I think it’s a great initiative. Especially now we are all working online so much, we need to pay even more attention to our physical and mental health. This kind of week definitely helps to increase awareness about this. I often miss out on physical exercise during workdays, though I do exercise regularly in the evenings, so I thought the 20-minute office workout was just perfect. If you ask me, it could be introduced as a standard activity at work. And to all those who couldn’t take part: sign up for it next time, it’s a good investment in your time! And now it’s time for a delicious smoothie!'
