Top rated education for over a decade
According to the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2023, university colleges in general offer excellent education with Leiden University College being awarded the tenth 'Top rated Programme' seal in a row. LUC received the first award in the year 2013 when the College moved to the Campus at the Anna van Buerenplein next to the central station of The Hague. The secret of the consistent scoring of LUC for over a decade and achieving this milestone lies in its student-centred education format, the inter-disciplinary approach of its programme, and the attentive mentoring of its students to enable them to achieve their goals. For Dean Giles Scott-Smith the award represents 'further confirmation of the remarkable consistency of LUC over ten years to deliver Bachelor-level education of the highest quality. Educational Director Paul Hudson and a member of the LUC staff for over a decade: 'Attaining such accolades for ten years running is a testament to the quality of our staff in teaching and administration. Because of their creativity and dedication, LUC is able to maintain a high standard, which is also fostered by being able to work with excellent and motivated students. It all makes for a stimulating study environment.'
