Leiden Governance Programme to start offering their first modules

The Institute of Public Administration is launching the Leiden Governance Programme: an exclusive educational programme for experienced practitioners with an eye out for the public interest. The programme will start in April with two unique modules (in Dutch) that focus on collaborating successfully and managing strategic interests. The modules will be taught in April, May, and June.

With and by experienced professionals

‘Inspire. Reflect. Connect. Challenge experienced practitioners to continue to expand their knowledge and collaborate across boundaries and sectors. Always based on a solid academic foundation. That is what the Leiden Governance Programme is intending to do.’ This is how Professor Caelesta Braun, Chair of the Leiden Governance Programme, describes the central goals of this new and exclusive programme. The programme combines academic excellence with a strong application-orientated focus. Bringing together experienced and ambitious professionals working in the field of public, semi-public, and private organisations is an important goal and one of the programme's assets. According to Dr Bert Fraussen, Director of the Leiden Governance Programme, ‘this stems from the belief that bringing together experienced professionals from different sectors not only allows for personal and substantive enrichment but also facilitates more insight into each other’s world.’ With this programme, Braun and Fraussen hope to facilitate the creation of new and valuable connections between people and organisations on behalf of the Institute of Public Administrations. New connections that are essential for dealing with the significant ongoing societal challenges.
