Gerrard Boot and Yvonne Erkens organise annual EALCJ conference
The conference of the European Association of Labour Court Judges (EALCJ) took place in Leiden from 8 to 10 June 2023. The EALCJ is an association of judges from all EU countries, which provides its members with a forum to exchange knowledge on (European) labour law and its application in the different countries of the EU.
Founded in the UK, the EALCJ has become a Dutch association since 2023. Yvonne Erkens and Gerrard Boot joined the EALCJ board and were responsible for organising this year's conference. They were supported by PAO Leiden.
Before the annual conference takes place, participants complete a questionnaire with questions on that year's theme. The results of the questionnaires are collected and form the subject of discussion during the conference. This year's theme was the relationship between labour law and the use of artificial intelligence.
