Tamara Danilyuk wins the EUROTOX 2023 Early Career Award

I am thrilled to share the exciting news of being honored with the 2023 Early Career Award at the EUROTOX conference held in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This recognition, presented by ECETOC (European Centre for Ecotoxicology and Toxicology of Chemicals) and dedicated to the memory of Dr. Christa Hennes, holds immense significance in the field of toxicological research into mechanisms and risk assessment.

The award acknowledges my contribution to advancing toxicological research, specifically in the realm of toxicity mechanisms and safety risk assessment. My presentation, titled "Human-induced pluripotent stem cell reporters for high-content screening of stress response activation identifying target organ-specific toxicities," was selected for its innovative approach and potential impact on understanding and mitigating toxicities in various organs. This recognition not only highlights the importance of our research but also underscores the collaborative efforts of the stem cell team in the group of Bob van de Water, division of Drug Discovery and Safety, LACDR. Needless to say, this would not be possible without the support of our RISKHUNT3R consortia, which inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of scientific exploration in the field of toxicology.

It is truly humbling to be acknowledged among peers and experts in the field. As a third-year Ph.D. student, this recognition serves as a testament to the dedication and hard work invested in the project. It reinforces the belief that our research is not only contributing to the academic discourse but also making meaningful strides toward safer and more effective drug discovery.
