Teams formed to lead university themes

The teams that will lead the themes guiding Leiden University’s strategic positioning in the coming years have been formed.

The team leads will drive forward the themes through which the university has defined its profile. They will set out their ambitions for their theme, foster internal collaboration, strengthen inter- and transdisciplinary research and teaching, and engage with internal and external stakeholders. In doing so, they will help develop solutions to complex societal challenges and reinforce the university’s position within the national and international knowledge landscape.

To reflect the interfaculty nature of the themes, each will be led by a team with members from different faculties and will have a rotating chair and vice-chair on an annual basis.

These teams represent an important step towards deepening inter- and transdisciplinary cooperation and increasing the visibility of the university’s social, academic and economic impact.
