Looking back on a successful Experience Day
On April 13, 84 students from 4th and 5th year pre-university education participated in the Bachelor Experience Day. During this day, they attended two lectures to get an idea of the program. By asking questions to a student panel, the students received more information about the study program and potential career opportunities.
Thanks to the efforts of the marketing and recruitment team as well as the involved lecturers, the day was positively evaluated.
For example, one student stated: “I thought it was a well-organized day and it helped me a lot with my choice of study.”
The content of the lectures was diverse and engaging. Laura Nawijn introduced the students to the theme of depression, Anouschka van Dijk demonstrated how emotions work in the brain, Shosha Peersmann gave an interactive lecture on sleep, and Anouk van der Weiden provided an introduction to group dynamics.
As Shosha Peersmann put it: “I enjoyed making an attempt to get the participants excited about (health) psychology. The participants actively participated in the mock lecture and the exercises. They seemed curious and were paying close attention.”
