From being proud to the future; outcomes of the psychology strategy day
On Thursday, 2 July, colleagues from the Institute of Psychology gathered at the atmospheric Oud Poelgeest Castle for the annual strategy day—a day dedicated to being proud, connection, and the shared direction of our institute.

We looked back on the progress of our Strategic Plan 2023-2027 and reflected on what we have achieved together over the past few years. The discussions revealed how much has already been set in motion and the level of commitment to the further development of our institute.
In various interactive sessions, colleagues engaged in dialogue on themes such as collaboration, Academia in Motion, leadership, and the contribution of teams and individuals to our shared ambitions. In addition to representatives from the various sections, several colleagues were also invited as 'wildcards'. Their fresh perspectives and experiences from daily practice enriched the discussions and underscored that we are continuing to build our future together as one institute.
There was plenty opportunity to reflect on what we are proud of. By sharing successes and experiences with one another, it became evident once again how much knowledge, commitment, and collaboration exist within our institute.
The day concluded with a joint escape room game, in which collaboration, creativity, and fun took center stage. A wonderful way to experience the theme of connection in practice as well!
We will incorporate the outcomes of the strategy day into the further development of our plans for 2026-2027. The autumn strategy day will take place on 19 November 2026. At that time, we will build upon the insights and outcomes of this day and determine the next steps together.
