From being proud to the future; outcomes of the Psychology Strategy day
On Thursday 2 July, colleagues from the Institute of Psychology came together at Oud Poelgeest Castle for the annual strategy day. Colleagues who attended share their impressions of a day dedicated to being proud, connection, and the shared direction of our institute.
Progress of our Strategic Plan 2023–2027
In the morning, participants looked back at the progress of our Strategic Plan 2023–2027 and reflected on what we have achieved together over the past few years. The discussions showed how much has already been set in motion and the level of commitment to the further development of our institute.
Experiences from daily practice
In addition to representatives from the different committees and groups, several colleagues from units and departments attended as ‘wildcards’. During a number of interactive sessions, they discussed topics such as collaboration, Academia in Motion, leadership, and how teams and individuals contribute to our shared ambitions. Their fresh perspectives and experiences from daily practice added value to the discussions and showed that we are continuing to build our future together as one institute.
Engagement, collaboration and connection
Alongside the main topics of the day, there was also time to reflect on what we are proud of. By sharing successes and experiences, it became clear once again how much knowledge, engagement and collaboration there is across our institute.
The day concluded with a joint escape room game, where collaboration, creativity and fun were key; Also being a practical way to experience the theme of connection on the spot.
Outcomes
The outcomes of this strategy day will be used to further develop our plans for 2026–2027. The autumn strategy day will take place on 19 November 2026. We will build on the insights and outcomes from this day and decide on the next steps together.
