Interaction with the general public

This may take the form of:

Impact support network

To increase the social impact of education and research, the Faculty of Humanities seeks interaction with society. This requires cooperation, both within academia and with parties or citizens from outside the walls of the university.

The Impact Support Network offers advice and support to researchers and lecturers of the Faculty of Humanities who (want to) seek contact with society and, from there, want to increase the positive social impact of their teaching or research or make it more visible.

Through Learning with the City, a large network is available in the city of Leiden, including the Municipality of Leiden, BplusC, welfare organisations but also the university of applied sciences and mboRijnland as cooperation partners.

Seed Money

The Impact Support Network has limited seed money available for initiatives to strengthen the impact of education and research of the Faculty of Humanities. Funding is intended for new intiatives and not to support structural or ongoing activities. This can include different types of activities, such as (but not exclusively) outreach, policy advocacy, knowledge transfer or social networking.
