Guidelines and regulations
The following two documents are of interest to PhD candidates:
- the PhD guidelines: here you can find out which facilities are available to PhD candidates and what the options are for training, supervision and career preparation.
- the PhD regulations: here you will find the rules on appointing supervisors, co-supervisors and the doctorate and examining committees. You will also find the dissertation requirements.
- the Golden Rules for PhD supervision: provide a set of best practices for both PhD candidate and the supervisors. These ‘rules of conduct’ emphasise the shared responsibility of the supervisor and the PhD candidate. They also make clear what expectations may be held by both.
