Our Communication team at Leiden Learning and Innovation Centre (LLInC) is looking for a:

Students Assistant 0,6 Fte

The Student Assistant in the Communication Team at Leiden Learning and Innovation Centre plays a vital role in supporting the administrative and creative functions of LLInC’s strategic communication. This position offers an opportunity for students to gain practical experience while contributing to the smooth operation internally and externally with other University department.

Key responsibilities
1. Communication Assistance:

  • Assist in managing the department's social media accounts, including posting updates and engaging with followers.
  • Create visually appealing graphics and promotional materials for departmental events and initiatives.
  • Setting up content calendar for regular publication deadlines.

2. Research Support:

  • Conduct research on various topics related to communication studies.
  • Assist in gathering data and preparing reports for departmental assessment and accreditation purposes.

3. Technical Assistance (website):

  • Help maintain website by updating content and testing functionality.
  • Assist updating and maintaining the website content.
  • Helping with content management systems.

4. Engagement (newsletters & blog):

  • Collaborate with other team members in drafting and editing newsletter content.
  • Helping with the layout of newsletters.
  • Managing the newsletter distribution.
  • Collaborate with student organizations affiliated with the Communication Department to promote involvement and engagement.

5. Social Media Support:

  • Monitoring social media channels and engaging with the audience.
  • Helping track and report on social media analytics.


Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (in both Dutch and English).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with fresh ideas for content and communication strategies.

Terms and conditions
Hiring takes place through the employment agency JobMotion. We offer this position for a period of 8 months for 3 days per week. The salary is based on your student status, BA or Master in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. Leiden Learning and Innovation Centre.
