Leiden University opened its doors in 1575 – the very first university in the Netherlands. The law faculty was involved from the start and so in 2025 we, too, celebrated our 450th anniversary.

The essay For progress has been published to mark the 450th Dies Natalis of Leiden University. In 2025, we are celebrating our 450th anniversary, and the theme of this special year is Ahead of the Times.

On Monday 6 February, 2017 it is exactly ten years since the FSW Master Thesis Lab was set up. And the Faculty is proud and delighted to mark the anniversary of this special facility for master’s students.
