As a student mentor, you are involved in the mentoring programme on behalf of your study programme. You will receive information about your role as a student mentor from a dedicated mentoring coordinator from your study programme or faculty.

One of the focal points of the teaching strategy at Leiden University is ensuring student success. Various initiatives have therefore been taken in this light ranging from the Leiden Study System to CROHO and from the Teachers’ Academy to teaching innovation.

Connecting with the University and with one another directly contributes to students’ well-being. This page gives an overview of initiatives that promote this.

Students can sometimes use a bit of extra help with their studies and personal development. Here you can read about how you as a lecturer, study adviser, mentor or other student-facing staff member can support students’ well-being.

Lecturers and/or members of a research group at our faculty, may be asked to supervise BSc or MSc students during their studies and research projects.
