Air raid siren testing will continue as usual on Monday 7 March, despite war in Ukraine
Every first Monday of the month, a test of the air raid siren takes place. Despite the war in Ukraine, the testing of the sirens will continue on Monday 7 March.
Because we have received signals that this alarm might cause unrest, we want to emphasise that this is a monthly exercise.
The sirens will be tested every first Monday of the month, so that everyone will recognise the sound in case of a disaster or serious accident. The sound of the sirens lasts for 1 minute and 26 seconds. When the sirens sound longer and several times in a row, it is an alarm. People should then immediately go inside, close doors and windows and turn off electronic ventilation. More information is given via radio or TV on regional calamity channels.
