Switch to Zorg en Zekerheid health insurance before January 1st 2024

18 December 2023

The University has once again reached a collective health insurance agreement with Zorg en Zekerheid. If you would like excellent health insurance with a big discount, good cover and excellent service, switch to Zorg en Zekerheid before 1 January 2024 at Zorg en Zekerheid/Leiden University.

Extra generous cover for staff and family members with collective insurance

The cheapest basic insurance (the Zorg Gemak policy) costs €130.65. If you increase your voluntary excess to €500,- your monthly premium for the Zorg Zeker and Zorg Vrij policies will decrease by as much as €25,- a month. This is an attractive option for staff who expect low healthcare costs and can bear the risk.

Zorg & Zekerheid offers extra generous cover for collectively insured staff and their family members in the areas of physiotherapy, dentistry, but also informal care and mindfulness training, for example.

Already have Zorg en Zekerheid insurance?

If you already take part in the Zorg en Zekerheid collective insurance scheme, you do not need to do anything. If you already have Zorg en Zekerheid insurance, but are not participating in our collective insurance scheme, you can arrange to do so before 1 January 2024, via the Zorg en Zekerheid website. Family members also benefit from this offer: you can easily add family members via MijnZZ.

Zorg & Zekerheid has listed the 2024 changes for you. For detailed information per reimbursement, you can use the Reimbursement Finder

Compare and take out insurance

You can easily compare all the Zorg en Zekerheid insurance policies in the online insurance shop. There is suitable insurance for everyone: from low to very extensive coverage. You can also take out insurance directly, and Zorg en Zekerheid will cancel your current insurance.
