Call for Proposals: Collaborate with the University of Zurich with this funding scheme

As a member of the Una Europa alliance, all Leiden University and LUMC employees are eligible to take part in proposals for the University of Zurich's Global Funding Scheme — in collaboration with colleagues from UZH.

Grants of up to CHF 60,000 (approximately €64,000) are available for joint initiatives. The three funding lines open to academic and professional services staff are:

  • Global Outreach Fund – Grants of up to CHF 5,000 to increase the international visibility of University of Zurich excellence.
  • Global Seed Fund – Grants of up to CHF 5,000 to help initiate and develop larger-scale global initiatives.
  • Global Champion Fund – Grants ranging from CHF 20,000 to 60,000 to support projects with strong potential for long-term institutional collaboration.

Applications must be submitted by a University of Zurich researcher or staff member. The deadline is 15 August 2025.
