Migration of education applications: 8 August
During the weekend of Friday 8 August (from 17.00) until Monday morning 11 August (9.00) almost all university education applications will be UNAVAILABLE. This large-scale maintenance operation has been specifically planned in August since this is the quietest period for teaching. We hope, therefore, that this work will cause as few problems as possible in the primary processes.
Background information
The planned migration work needs to be carried out to give lecturers at the faculty of medicine/LUMC access to the educational applications through their own network account instead of a ULCN guest account. This adjustment will lead to far greater efficiency in processes in many areas.
The work
In this weekend, around 3000 ULCN guest accounts of LUMC employees will be converted. Since the educational applications will still have to be adapted for this, the following applications will unavailable for all Leiden University users (teaching staff and students) during the conversion process. These include Brightspace, Turnitin, Pitch2Peer, FeedbackFruits, Wooclap, Kaltura, Mediasite, Zoom, uSis, TermTime, MyTimeTable, Studentenportaal, Mieneke, Studiegids, and AscMe. So, please take this work into account when planning any teaching and related activities.
