Changes in degree programme? Start in TEC!
TEC (TimeEdit Curriculum) will officially be introduced at our faculty from the start of October 2025. This curriculum management system will help us take an important step towards achieving a more efficient and reliable way to prepare our courses. The Programme Directors will take the lead: as the person responsible for a degree programme, they will be entering the most important parts of the curriculum in TEC.
Why is this important?
TEC helps to ensure that all information about our degree programmes is recorded clearly, completely and centrally. This includes degree programmes, courses, teaching methods, and corresponding data. TEC facilitates automatic data exchange with other systems, e.g. uSis. So, we can avoid duplication of work and reduce the risk of errors.
What are the benefits?
-
Less duplication of work and a clearer overview
-
Reliable and up-to-date data
-
Clear and fixed steps in the process
-
A future-proof way to work together
Where do we start?
We start in TEC with data from the existing curriculum. If there are any changes in the degree programmes in the coming academic year – e.g. level, period or credits – the Programme Directors will enter this information in TEC. They are formally responsible for the entire programme.
Any changes within courses will be made via the Department of Education Policy. Course Coordinators and administrative offices will soon be notified about this. You can read more about this process on the Onderwijsvoorbereiding page on the LTC Hub.
And afterwards?
Starting this academic year, we will also use TEC for all information published in the e-prospectus. From December onwards, changes to exchange and minor courses can be entered in TEC. The Course Coordinators in question will soon be informed about this process. Then, from February onwards, changes to the regular courses in the e-prospectus can be entered in TEC.
