New portfolio allocation for Executive Board
Following the appointment of Luc Sels as President of the Executive Board on 1 November, new agreements have been reached regarding portfolio allocation. These took effect on 11 November 2025.
President
President Luc Sels is responsible for general coordination, strategy, knowledge transfer, international relations, communication & marketing, alliances and external relations.
Rector Magnificus
Rector Magnificus Hester Bijl is responsible for education, research, student affairs and academic HRM policy.
Vice-President
Vice-President Timo Kos is the point of contact for finance, general HRM policy, ICT, real estate, facilities and security.

This document provides more details about the portfolio allocation. View the agreements on who will deputise if a member of the Executive Board is absent. The current Rector Magnificus, Hester Bijl, will leave for TU Delft on 15 January. The procedure to find a successor is underway. The portfolio allocations may change following the appointment of the new Rector Magnificus.
