New BAS Insite is live: check now if everything is working!
Starting this month, January 2026, the university has replaced the old SAP system and has started using BAS InSite. You use BAS Insite to easily arrange your leave, expense claims, report in sick, and various other personnel and financial matters. This is major step forward, but one that requires your attention - especially now!
We ask you all to check whether BAS InSite is working as it should for you – do this very soon and preferably this week! You can go to BAS InSite using the shortcut on the staff website. If you identify any problems now, help is fully available instead of later when you might need to perform an urgent action in your work systems.
Important matters to check are:
- Can you access all the tasks and overviews you need for your work?
- Is the information correct? Check your personal data, position, the name of your manager etc.
- For managers: Is the correct team linked to your name and can you access all the relevant data you would expect to see?
- Also check if you can access other systems (e.g. GROW) or other drives such as the J-drive. Some things might have changed during the migration.
- SAP numbers are being replaced by cost centres and projects. You can obtain these from your Institute Coordinator and the deparment heads.
AFAS Pocket app
It’s advisable to download the AFAS pocket app on your phone as it makes using the system a lot easier and more accessible. Were you unable to receive an activation code for the app before? Try again as that should be working now.
