Adress & Openingtimes

The first classes at the Spui University Campus will begin next week. All facilities there are largely the same as those at Wijnhaven, but we have listed the most important information for you below.

As the building has three wings and is shared with partner organisations, it may take a little time at first to find your way around. Please make sure to leave a bit earlier for your first class or appointment so you have extra time to familiarise yourself with the building.

The address of the Spui University Campus is: Spui 5, The Hague.

Opening hours of the building and the bicycle parking:
Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 23:00
Saturday: 09:00 – 21:30
Sunday: 10:30 – 21:30

Where is the bicycle parking and how can you use it?

 The bicycle parking is located to the left of the main entrance of the Spui building (Spui 5). All staff and students have access to the facility, which accommodates 1350 bicycles. Access is granted via your LU-Card.

How does the signage work?

 The building is divided into three wings: A, B and C.

• Wing A is located on the Spui side of the building. Here you will find the reception, and on the second floor the UFB Service Desk.
• Wing B is in the centre of the building on the Grote Markt side, where you will find, among other things, the restaurant. Most teaching rooms are located on the third and fourth floors.
• Wing C is not used by Leiden University; this wing houses the other partners located at Spui
  
  On the signage, you will first see the floor number, then the wing letter, and then the room number.

Cloakroom and lockers

As in Wijnhaven, there is an unattended cloakroom on the first floor. In addition, each floor has lockers that you can use free of charg

Entrance

Until 18:00, the Spui building is open to everyone. After 18:00, LU-Card access control applies, and a registration system for evenings and weekends will be introduced soon.

How does the Wi-Fi work?

Exactly as you are used to at all other locations, via Eduroam.

How can the flexible workspaces and meeting rooms be booked?

All flexible workspaces, meeting rooms, and teaching rooms can be booked via the UFB by contacting servicedeskDH@ufb.leidenuniv.nl. These facilities are available for reservation by all staff members of Leiden University.

How does the audiovisual equipment in the teaching rooms operate?

The computers and display screens in all rooms operate in the same way as you are accustomed to at Wijnhaven. Should you encounter any issues, on-site assistance is available within the building and can be reached via +31 (0)71 527 5335.

Accessibility

The Spui is a ten-minute walk from Den Haag Centraal station. The tram stop directly in front of the building is Den Haag Centrum. The nearest car park is Q-Park Grote Markt.
 

Mail

When sending parcels to the Spui, please use the address Grote Markt 48 (goods entrance). Spui 5 is not accessible for postal services and couriers. Internal mail is processed via Wijnhaven and therefore does not arrive at the Spui directly. Please allow for an additional one-day delivery time.

Lactation room

The lactation room is located on the ground floor next to the reception desk.

Quiet room

There is currently no quiet room in the Spui building. You can use the quiet room in Wijnhaven.

Accessibility for people with reduced mobility

The building is wheelchair accessible.
